Plains Indian Trailer Headdress / Native American Headdress

back of headdress

Here is a view you do not see very often - the back of a headdress.

This photograph illustrates how we finish them. The deer skin cap on this occasion is covered with tufts of ermine, the major plume is wrapped with beads and terminated with a feather fluff.

This trailer headdress is in a private collection in Ohio.

Plains Indian Moccasins - Cheyenne, Sioux, Comanche, Blackfoot, Crow, etc.

Example of Cheyenne / Arapaho moccasins (replica) circa 1895 aged to look old, clay paints, glass beads

Cheyenne ca. 1895 replicas
Our Moccasins are hand made and hand beaded (using glass seed beads of various sizes - determined by the design) on smoked or brain-tanned buckskin, elk and buffalo (double and triple soled). We work with each client to design the style and type of each individual moccasin - encompassing elements such as tribal style, bead color and pattern, etc. We also replicate a lot of old moccasins from museum photographs. Moccasins are sometimes aged to look old depending on your preference.

We do use smoked and brain tanned deer skin, buffalo and elk

Soles are double and triple soled (soft or parfleche)
